group 259
Two Five Nine is a seven-man music group from Mesa, AZ. The members of Two Five Nine performed for the first time at a high-school talent show eight years ago. Since that time the group has churned out a prolific five CDs - two pop albums, two religious albums, and a pop-religious hybrid Christmas album. The seven group members - Greg Adams, Jeff Andersen, Drex Davis, McKane Davis, Rob Gardner, Porter Shumway, and Jeff Trapnell - all served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during which time the group was on hiatus.

About 259 Two Five Nine loves to make music. All group members sing. Most play instruments. Some write and arrange music. They perform a cappella or with accompaniment depending on whatever they feel will best express the desired message and feeling of a song. Through this approach, the group transcends genres, though they have established a unique style of their own. At the heart of Two Five Nine's music, you can be sure of one thing - the music revolves firmly around strong songwriting, arranging, and vocal performance. This approach has resulted in numerous honors, including four Pearl Award nominations. Two Five Nine has performed for audiences large and small. The group has toured the western United States extensively and has made television and radio appearances. CDs are distributed nationwide through Deseret Book, HeartRise Distribution, and Thought Spring Media and can be found in most LDS bookstores. |
