The Swingtips
LDS Music World presents the music of LDS group The Swingtips

The Swingtips can be traced back to Kregg Barentine who, in 1992, was responsible in part for the swing revival in Arizona with the Zony-award winning 1930'-40's swing revue, The All-Night Strut, which played to sold out crowds each night. Soon after, Barentine was offered a touring spot with The Glenn Miller Orchestra playing saxophone, clarinet and flute in '93 and '94. After his return to the Phoenix-metro area, Barentine played to European and U.S. markets with his own brand of swing, collaborating with fellow Swingtips members, as well as continuing to play for such bands as the Dorsey Brothers, Bob Newhart, Guy Lombardo, and opening for Jay Leno.

The Swingtips CD - "Roswell"
(Ghost Note Records) CDM-555611

The words, "animated", "cool", and "happy", best describe this CD. This 3rd CD for the Swingtips is a musical monument to the many different ways swing rhythm can be inter-weaved in music. Strong originals like, "Roswell", "Limbo", "Sam The Clam", "Big Top", and "Chupacabra Cha Cha", reflect a fun, imaginative and well-produced album. Other exceptional cuts include: Star Wars' "Cantina Band", "Jonny Quest", "James Bond Theme", and the re-make of Oingo Boingo's, "Goodbye, Goodbye."
