Russell Rowland
A popular baritone soloist, Russell has appeared in several principal
roles throughout the country, from Las Vegas to the East Coast. He performed
the role of Lahab in the stage production of Noah at the Sight and Sound
Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Some or his favorite portrayals were
of the stoic Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music, the comic
and overbearing Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really
Trying, and the shady Jigger Craigin in Carousel. Russell originally hails
from the Richmond, Virginia area, having appeared there in multiple mainstage
and touring productions with Theatre IV and most recently at the Riverside
Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Other credits include: Frank
Butler in Annie Get Your Gun, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, Smudge
in Forever Plaid, Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, and Lun Tha in The
King and I. Recent film credits include the PBS documentary of The
Lost Colony and the UPN series Legacy.
