Raising
Emma
"Raising Emma"
debuted in Las Vegas, NV- December 1-9, 2000. The Raising
Emma CD will be available in stores toward the end of March
2001.
At the beginning of Raising Emma, the audience learns that
Emma is a little girl who lost her father as the result of
a farming accident. Emma's father, Ed, is now in heaven trying
to learn how to be a guardian angel. Though he is sincere,
it is painfully obvious to others that Ed is not the most
talented angel. He does, however, have more success in helping
his widow and his daughter from heaven. He convinces his younger
brother, Harry, to leave a college basketball scholarship
at Ohio State and return to the farm to help raise his daughter.
Several years pass and despite Ed's greatest efforts, the
clouds surrounding Emma continue to darken. Emma's mother
is killed in a highway accident. She is killed while driving
Harry's truck. Mortified that somehow he has caused the loss
of Emma's last surviving parent, Harry commits his life to
raising his niece. Raising Emma traces the steps of Emma's
life as she faces her hardships with courage and faith --
and a little help from above.
