LDS Music World presents the music of LDS artist Qwiet

You've turned on the TV or radio and seen or heard no-talent rappers grunting the same nonsense one too many times. You're sick of the degradation, materialism, and hate that is mainstream hip-hop today. You believe that the time has come for change -- change in lifestyle, change in attitude, change in philosophy, change in music... You've come to the right place. Listen to find out why.

Every time I turn on the TV, I see something that makes me sick. Every time I check the "hip-hop and R&B" radio stations, I hear something that makes me sick. It's not just mainstream rap, it's everything. I can't watch a single skit on Saturday Night Live without being assaulted with innuendos and foul language. I can't even watch network television without seeing the same things.

The sad thing is, all these things can be so beautiful. Hip-hop music can be so beautiful, yet they make it ugly. Television can be such great entertainment. I still laugh for five minutes straight when I see the old Chris Farley "Matt Foley" skits. I've seen some beautiful videos on MTV, but they only play them for a 24-hour period after a tragedy like 9/11, then it's right back to thong videos. What a wonderful chance they all have to make something good and show it to the world, yet they all resort to crudeness, appealing to the lowest common denominator in our society to make more money. And thus, the cycle continues.

I make music to break that cycle. It's the only way I know how. I want to show people that life doesn't have to be that way, that they don't have to be trapped in The Great Deception that is our society. I want to let people know that life can be beautiful. What a wonderful chance we all have to be great. To be happy. To be free.

That's what "Rhyme + Revolution" is all about.
