NlightN
NlightN (pronounced enlighten) is a group you might call unique. There are five members of NlightN. In a nut shell, Camron Howell writes the lyrics, Brent Slade and Aaron Ballard are the lead vocalists, Mark Baker plays guitar, and Mark Peterson plays the piano. Together, they create the melodies and arrangements for all of their original songs. NlightN has one goal: to share the message of the Gospel through their music. The combination of beautiful lyrics, powerful vocals, impressive piano, and strong guitar and strings create a sound that is distinctly their own.

"Chosen For All Time" is now the Official Canada Toronto West and Utah Ogden Mission Song.

On the day of September 11, Camron Howell wrote words about what had just happened. That same afternoon we all gathered as a group at my place and put music to the words. That same evening we recorded the song in studio. That night a local radio station and news station got copies and played them. The next day a large radio station played the song, and with much response, many other radio stations wanted copies and have been playing it since. Two news stations of Television asked us to perform the song live during shows about the crisis. We performed on both, and are taking donations for purchase of the song. It is titled " Our Hearts Go Out To You" Written, arranged, and recorded all on the 11 of September, 2001.

Lyrics - "Our Hearts Go Out to You"

Each morning the sun rises and with it brings the light
But the fire in the sky this day, was darker than the night
No chance to say good-bye, no shelter from this pain
But in our hearts, the loved ones we lost, will always remain

Our Hearts go out to the Families and Friends
In your behalf, a prayer we will send
One Nation United, together Hand in Hand
Here to help you make it through
Our Hearts go out to you

One day down the road, we’ll share a warm embrace
With family and friends that we could not replace
The laughter and the smiles, will be good as new
but, until that moment… Our Hearts go out to you

Our Hearts go out to the Families and Friends
In your behalf a prayer we will send
This Nation United, together Hand in Hand
We’re here to help you make it through

Our Hearts go out to you
Our Hearts go out to our Family and Friends
A prayer, in your behalf, we send
This Nation’s United, together Hand in Hand
We will make it through
Our Hearts go out to you

Lyrics - "Stretch Forth Thy Hand"

On my own, I take a step away, grown up and now must part, waving to my family, hearing memories of my heart, that night I knelt, in prayer, in a land so far away, whispering tears, filled with fear. He must have heard me say…

Heavenly Father, Where are You? Where is Your hiding place? In my time of need, I come to Thee, and long for your embrace. I will not make it on my own, with You I know I can. If You hear me? Stretch Forth Thy Hand.
I was bruised for all iniquity, and suffered pains of time, but I never knew such lonliness, until I spoke these words of mine…

Father, Where art Thou? Where is Thy hiding place? In my time of need, I come to Thee, this act I now must face. I may not make it all alone, more pain than I can stand. If Thou be willing, Stretch Forth Thy Hand.

He hears our prayers, each simple one, when we’re lost and on our own, but could it be, that without me, He too becomes alone?

My child, Where art Thou? Where is thy hiding place? In your time of need, I came to thee, now I long to see your face. Your path right now is easy, so with empty arms I stand. When you have some time, Stretch Forth Thy Hand. When you have some time, my Child, Stretch Forth Thy Hand.

Lyrics - "Chosen For All Time"

In a stable there was once brought forth a King.
The only perfect man this world has ever seen.
He healed the blind and made men whole, brought light into the soul,
And showed us the way to make it Home.

Still the mob yelled Crucify, so they nailed him to a cross.
Some people laughed, some cheered, others mourned their loss.
He had bled from every pore, yet rose up and conquered more,
And testified with gentle words like these:

I’VE BEEN CALLED, PREPARED, CHOSEN FOR ALL TIME.
THE WORK I DO THIS DAY IS NOT MINE, BUT THINE.
AN INSTRUMENT I WILL BE, THROUGH ALL ETERNITY.
I WILL LISTEN AND OBEY IN EVERY WAY.

A humble boy in a grove down on bended knees,
Looked to Heaven above, guarded by the trees.
The gospel plan was not known, he wanted to be shown,
So he prayed with the faith to have the truth.

The vision came to the one who would not quit and fail,
A chosen prophet from Palmyra to the Jail.
As he sat within cold walls, with gunshots down the halls.
I hear him cry out silent words like these:

I’VE BEEN CALLED, PREPARED, CHOSEN FOR ALL TIME.
THE WORK I DO THIS DAY IS NOT MINE, BUT THINE.
AN INSTRUMENT I WILL BE, THROUGH ALL ETERNITY.
I WILL LISTEN AND OBEY IN EVERY WAY.

Much like all of us, I’ve seen my Maker too.
Before this life He showed, all that I could do.
Now it’s up to me to choose, to win or to lose.
Will I live the way that Father knows I can?

I must go and share the gospel with my friends,
And live my life as though, tomorrow is the end.
So when my journey is to rough, and my faith is not enough.
I will sing these words and remember who I am. I am!

I’VE BEEN CALLED, PREPARED, AND CHOSEN FOR ALL TIME.
THE WORK I DO THIS DAY IS NOT MINE, BUT THINE.
AN INSTRUMENT I WILL BE, THROUGH ALL ETERNITY.
I WILL LISTEN AND OBEY IN EVERY WAY.
I will listen and obey, everyday.
