Professionally, Merrill Jenson is a music composer of films and video productions for Bonneville Communications. No LDS composer and arranger is better known or more highly respected than Merrill Jenson. It is difficult to find an album of LDS music where he isn't credited in some way for his contribution.

His works include "American Prophet: The Story of Joseph Smith" and "Trail of Hope", both of these in collaboration with Sam Cardon.
