More about Kathryn Sonners Kathryn Sonners Tuttle grew up in Oregon and Washington state. She has performed at various collegiate and professional events, while working toward her B.A. in Music from Brigham Young University. Here she studied vocal technique, dance, Music Dance Theatre, song writing, and education. Vocally, she has studied under professionals including those who taught the technique used by Celine Dione and Faith Hill as well as instruction from Randy Boothe over the Young Ambassadors. Kathryn recorded her first album “Be There” with Tyler Castleton as producer, named for the song written as the theme. She has recorded on various albums as lead vocal and back-up as well and traveled to promote her own album as well as others’. Kathryn taught for Showtime Music Dance Theatre Company in Utah as an MDT instructor as well as private vocal instructor. She has taught private voice lessons and song-writing classes, believing that everyone has a voice and just needs to find a way to use it. “Music can touch people in a way nothing else can and I love more than anything to be a part of it. I know I haven’t been able to be away from it in my life for long! No matter what, music is always there to uplift, comfort, energize, anything you need it to do.” Kathryn is currently working on her next album from songs written “at a time in my life when everything seemed more up and down than ever before, and I had to come to the realization that it’s what life is all about- it’s how you handle it that makes you who you are.”
