Jordan Bluth
LDS Music World presents the music of LDS musician Jordan Bluth
A colleague once said of Jordan, "Who could ever forget a voice like his?" This versatile, gifted artist has the rare ability to emote power and passion regardless of the musical style he performs. Classically trained, Jordan's love of all music helped create his 12 track debut CD. He crosses multiple genres with the ease of a veteran performer. He breathes new life in to timeless classics, whether performing a familiar Mozart aria ("Dies Bildnis ist bezaubernd schon"), a favorite Beatles tune ("Blackbird"), or a beloved Broadway standard ("Maria"). On the contemporary side, he offers intimate and innocent retellings of Billy Joel's hit, "Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)" and Eddy Arnold's 1950's country western ballad, "You Don't Know Me". "Come Thou Fount", a traditional, inspirational favorite, blends Jordan's remarkable voice with a striking new arrangement. Sit back, relax, listen and enjoy. Jordan will be sure to heal your heart and soothe your soul.

About
Jordan Bluth
Jordan Bluth, tenor, recently earned a degree in Vocal Performance from the prestigious Indiana University School of Music. While at IU he performed many leading operatic roles, as well as several musical theatre roles. Professionally, he has performed with Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown, NY, the Utah Festival Opera Company in Logan, UT, and North Shore Musical Theatre in Beverly, MA. Along with stage productions, Jordan is an active concert soloist, performing most recently with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra in NY, and as a featured recitalist, appearing recently in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, UT. Soccer fans may also know Jordan’s name, as he was invited to perform the National Anthem before 45,000 + people at the international match between ReAL of Salt Lake City and ReAL Madrid in August of 2006.
In addition to live performance, he is also a recording artist, having released his self titled CD in August of 2006. The album has a wide range of appeal and complements Jordan’s versatility and love of varied musical styles. For classical music lovers, he performs opera arias by Mozart and Massenet, along with new contemporary classics, “Time to Say Goodbye,” and “Nella Fantasia.” For Broadway fans, selections from smash hits Les Miserables, West Side Story, and The Secret Garden offer a sense of drama and emotion. Listeners will also find a connection with a new arrangement of an old Shaker hymn in “Come Thou Fount.” For the pop/rock fan, tunes by Billy Joel and the Beatles are rediscovered, and jazz lovers will melt to Eddie Arnold and Cindy Walker’s classic “You Don’t Know Me.”
Jordan is a Gilbert, AZ resident, and performs frequently throughout Arizona and Utah. Please visit www.jordanbluth.com for more information on upcoming events and performances. |
