Greg Simpson
LDS Music World presents the music of LDS artist
Greg Simpson
Electrifying.
That’s what people say about Greg Simpson as they leave his concerts. Whether
he’s on stage with his band or alone with just his electric guitar,
Greg owns the stage. Because when he’s on stage it’s not about
him. It’s about the audience and about how they experience the music.
An accomplished producer, Greg has been the creative force behind several
albums for the Especially For Youth program. He has written
or performed with artists like Julie de Azevedo, Shane Jackman, and SheDaisy.
His debut album on Highway Records, Seven Wonders, garnered him 2 nominations
from the Faith Centered Music Association, including Male Vocalist of
the Year and Comtemporary Recording of the Year. - from Highway
Records

More
about Greg Simpson
Greg’s life is a lot like his performances-it’s
not about him, it’s about the people around him. Uninterested
in the limelight, Greg is a dedicated father and teacher. In
addition to the devotion he shows his wife and four children, Greg
has dedicated his life to helping youth understand and express their
faith. Complementing his work as a full-time religion
teacher, his music is a means of expression that allows him to connect
with people, whether it’s his family, his students, or an
audience at one of his concerts.
His kids, at home and at school, know Greg loves
music. They’ve experienced him using music to communicate
with them in ways words never could. His three boys and
little girl watch as Greg works in the recording studio he’s
built in his basement, wanting to spend as much time as possible
at home.
Greg has been writing and performing professionally
since he was 18. His love for music and his faith have inspired
him to write and perform numbers that are compelling yet comfortable.
His voice is fresh and singular and his guitar expertise rivals
any nationally renowned recording artist. That soulful voice and
the rousing guitar arrangements accompanying it display an intensity
of feeling that distinguishes everything Greg undertakes.
