About Cory Reese Cory Reese is a piano player in the truest sense of the art. At the age of eighteen he heard Cristofori's Dream by David Lanz and was touched by the music of the piano. He quickly sat at the family piano, determined to teach himself how to play. Without a lesson, and after countless hours, he was soon able to master the song that inspired him to play the piano. Five years later, he entered Spiral Studios to record Moment of Peace, original solo piano music. After perfecting his playing of other people's songs, Cory began writing his own music. Generally termed "new age", the solo piano music on "Moment of Peace" is filled with striking melodies and rhythms throughout each song. Often compared to the music of George Winston, David Lanz, and Paul Cardall, Cory's music builds on that of his mentors to create a unique, touching, and melodic sound. Cory earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Southern Utah University, and Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming. He works as a therapist at a residential teen treatment facility. He spends free time with his wife Melanie, and six month old baby boy Jackson. Reviews "Moment
of Peace has a very consistent and heartfelt quality." "Cory
has a way of taking you out of the daily routine so that you can
experience your own moment of peace." |
