About the Artist Young Christian was born in the city of Mossoró which lies in the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. From early on in his youth, with only seven years of age, he began to show a strong interest for music, particularly the instruments that surrounded him because of his father Dermival Pinheiro, well-known maestro in Mossoró who often took young Christian to local bands rehearsals. In child’s band is precisely where Christian started to study and bring out his promised talent that quickly called public attention and admiration because of the love and dedication with which he played. It didn’t take long and Christian had fulfilled his dream when he became a band saxophonist, despite is passion for percussion instruments (which rendered a great base and rhythmic perception) it was the saxophone that the young musician dedicated long hours of study. This composer, born soloist, owner of a technical and sensibility sharpener, soon received incentives to start a soloist career. In 1992 he began to lengthen his steps at once; a remarkable presence on stage; always impressionable to public expectations; in no time was known and renowned by the people of Ceará Brazil. First Brazilian to be invited to participate in the Lake-Eola Music Festival in Orlando-USA; an attraction at the first Music Fair in Fortaleza; Cultural Project BNB; first Life and Art Festival 2003… Christian Pinheiro already presents two CD’s: “Tocando para o mar”, a work partly composed by particular compositions; “Mais perto quero estar”, sacred hymns. These two CD’s will be the principal starting mark of Christian Pinheiro’s endless career. |
